Low Cost Diabetes Consulting & Support
I live with Type 1 diabetes - after having been misdiagnosed with Type 2 for several years prior. I’ve become well versed in the field, which combined with my professional background as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), has left me in a position in which I care about nothing more than helping other people successfully navigate life with diabetes. Whether it’s advice about questions to ask your doctor, things that can help your day to day management, diet, exercise, or even the stressors of living with diabetes, I can help.

Session Details and Costs
If you choose to work with me, we will set up one-on-one sessions via Google Meet, Zoom, Phone, or even in-person if we live near one another.

Session cost is $30.00, with payments made through Venmo.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have a unique background as a personal trainer, occupational therapist, day job in tech, and as someone living with type 1 diabetes myself. This allows me to provide suggestions about a range of topics that may not normally be covered during a traditional visit. I’m also striving to make this extremely affordable for everyone.

This is different for everyone, but for me as a type 1 diabetic, my priorities are probably:
Avoid extreme hypoglymecia events, and have a plan for when they do occur.
Maintain a high time in range.
Continue to live a healthy life without diabetes impeding.
-
I ran into this myself. My first suggestion is to come to your endo appointments with a list of questions or technology that you’d like to try, don’t wait for them to suggest it. Also, see if they have a diabetes educator on staff. If they don’t, then I recommend various podcasts, YouTube channels, and professional diabetes services such as Integrated Diabetes to help you on your journey, especially in the beginning or if you have specific difficulties.

I’m here for you. There are also several excellent podcasts (e.g., Juicebox Podcast), YouTube channels (e.g., Diabetech), and professional diabetes educator services (Integrated Diabetes), just to name a few.
